roger

Once a "promotor" himself, now heading his own initiative within SES, Roger is a good friend and agent of change. Here we were, chatting of the woes of being a volunteer.

Carlos, eres el hombre. It was an honor and a privilege to call our rueda with you in it, and I can see that you have gone on to do even greater things with your life, even though it's surprising to discover that there could be anything greater than that. ;)

I was just tipped off to your blog and I will look forward to spending some time perusing it. Looks highly interesting, and I wish you all the best.

Yep, you guessed it, it's me! :)

I haven't been up to much interesting, I'm afraid. I'm on staff doing admin stuff in the ECE department, I'm right down the hall from Gil, you know him, right? I've been trying to play around with writing a novel and it has been tough going.

Haven't done rueda in a long time now, I'm afraid. I might relocate to the Bay Area, they've got Miami style classes there, actually. Also another place I'm interested in, Portland, OR has some Cuban style classes, it's pretty similar to Miami style. I guess Cuban style is probably what Pauline (was that her name) learned in France. So if I wind up there I might take it up again.

I did perform Miami style with Karina for Culture Night before she graduated, by the way, just the two of us. That was the last time I graced a stage. :)

Busting any salsa moves down there in Peru? I think Orsella was half Peruvian, she could probably pull some strings and get you into all the exclusive clubs. ;)
